The weekend of 6, 7 & 8 October saw the launch of the largest fundraising campaign for higher education ever in Scotland – The University of Edinburgh Campaign. The guest list for the party, including guest speaker Andrew Marr, brought together a total of 300 guests, spanned six generations of University of Edinburgh alumni. Participants came from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Toronto, London and Paris and the American Friends of the University of Edinburgh.
To support this Campaign, the University of Edinburgh had a specific requirement for a multi functional dynamic website. lightershade undertook a detailed consultancy exercise with the University to produce a site specifically designed to support the fundraising initiative but also to inform of Campaign progress. The website also provides a range of services, such as, news, events and reunions, aimed at making it easier for alumni and supporters of the University to keep in touch and stay informed.
